Senior ETL Architect
Senior DataStage ETL Architect, Tech Lead and Mentor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for preparing the technical design specifications from the business requirements.
Responsible for the design and development of ETL processes.
Strong experience in exception handling design; complex transformations/workflows.
Strong experience in Data integration and cleansing.
Responsible for developing database applications using Oracle, Pl/Sql and UNIX shell scripts.
Work with the users to collect and understand the requirements.
Excellent Customer facing skills.
Responsible for communicating with other IT groups in collecting the requirements and also implementing the applications.
Manages the integrity and reliability of the data.
Develop and maintain the detailed project documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Expert in designing and developing the ETL processes using Datastage with Tera Data environment * MUST.
Experience in working with unstrutured data objects * MUST.
Highly knowledgeable in data warehousing concepts and technologies * MUST.
In depth experience in dimensional and normalized modelling * MUST.
In depth experience with client server applications and architectures * MUST.
In depth hands on experience in Oracle * MUST.
In depth understanding and development experience using SQL, Pl/Sql and UNIX scripting languages * MUST.
Proficiency with the Windows Server and UNIX operating systems * MUST.
Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with senior business and technical IT management * MUST.
Strong Analytical and problem solving abilities * MUST.
Data Stage experience in working with DB2 database * PREFERRED.
Bachelor*s Degree (Computer Science preferred) * PREFERRED.
